  • Speeches in Parliament

This job does not come with a manual and I’m trying my best to do the job the island elected me to do - and that includes being a voice for families across Ynys Môn.

This is why I attended - at the families request - and spoke in an important Westminster debate about the tragic death by suicide of Mared Foulkes from Menai Bridge.

Mental health is something that is personally important to me - I led a campaign along with the Local Conversation project at Môn CF Anglesey - for over 100 people on Anglesey to be trained in mental health first aid.

If you need support for mental health please do contact me or there are a number of helplines listed at Mind.org.uk, offering both phone and text assistance.

In this column I usually focus on the ‘bigger picture’ part of my role:   fighting to secure Anglesey Freeport in Westminster because I know how much our young people need the good quality, well paid jobs this will bring,  badgering Ministers, raising the profile of new nucl
