In my latest column in the Holyhead and Anglesey Mail, I discuss my excitement at the forthcoming Coronation events and the free Union Flag bunting I am giving out to those on Ynys Môn.
I am immensely proud that our Island democratically elected me to represent it in Westminster – it is a pleasure and a privilege to serve the people of Ynys Môn however they voted.
The UK Parliament usually sits four or five days a week, which means that most of the week I am in Westminster representing the needs of local people, communities and our island as a whole.
This is quite different from the Senedd in Cardiff which sits just two days a week – on a Tuesday and a Wednesday.
When I am not representing you in Westminster – that is at weekends or when Parliament is on recess – I look forward to spending time here at home on our beautiful island with my family, friends and my team in Holyhead.
I particularly enjoy getting out and about visiting towns and villages across Ynys Môn and taking part in community events.
That is why I am particularly excited that I will be on the island for the Coronation of King Charles III on Saturday 6 May when many local communities will be coming together to celebrate.
The Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort is a time for celebration across the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, and a weekend of special events is planned.
