Caffi Siop

I work in Westminster Monday to Thursday and some Fridays. The 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 part of my week is at home here on Anglesey when I get to meet my constituents and share their passion for Anglesey.

Rwy’n gweithio yn San Steffan o ddydd Llun i ddydd Iau ac weithiau ar ddydd Gwener. Y rhan orau o fy wythnos yw pan fyddaf gartref yma ar Ynys Môn ac yn cael cwrdd â fy etholwyr a rhannau eu hangerdd tuag at Ynys Môn.

Thank you to Margaret Clarke for kindly inviting me to meet some of the volunteers that work so hard to make Caffi Siop Mechell - Llanfechell - a success.

Robin Grove-White gave me an excellent tour and Judith showed me her wonderful book detailing the history behind the cafe. Thank you too to the talented artist Helen Grove-White and Francis Graham for sharing his astronomy expertise.

The café is open for food Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am to 4pm - and is the hub of the community.

This is a wonderful community asset and I am looking forward to supporting the team with their plans to expand.

Diolch i Margaret Clarke am y gwahoddiad caredig i gwrdd â rhai o’r gwirfoddolwyr sy’n gweithio mor galed i wneud Caffi Siop Mechell yn Llanfechell yn llwyddiant.

Cefais daith wych o gwmpas gan Robin Grove-White a dangosodd Judith ei llyfr rhyfeddol i mi sy’n llawn hanes y caffi. Diolch i’r artist talentog Helen Grove-White a Francis Graham am rannu ei arbenigedd o seryddiaeth. Mae’r caffi yn gweini bwyd ar ddydd Mercher, dydd Iau, dydd Gwener a dydd Sadwrn rhwng 10am a 4pm - ac mae’n ganolbwynt i’r gymuned.

Mae hwn yn ased cymunedol gwych ac rwy’n edrych ymlaen at gefnogi’r tîm gyda’u cynlluniau i ehangu.

Diolch yn fawr!

In this column I usually focus on the ‘bigger picture’ part of my role:   fighting to secure Anglesey Freeport in Westminster because I know how much our young people need the good quality, well paid jobs this will bring,  badgering Ministers, raising the profile of new nucl
