𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀

The Veterans Minister Johnny Mercer made a statement this afternoon in the House of Commons on the announcement of a new medal to honour veterans who supported the UK's nuclear testing programme.

Like many colleagues I have campaigned on this and I asked the Minister the following:

"𝘐 𝘸𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘯 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘧 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘔𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘚𝘶𝘣-𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘦 (𝘈𝘔𝘚𝘊) 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘜𝘒𝘴 𝘯𝘶𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘴𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘯𝘶𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘷𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘥𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦.𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘸𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦.
