Defibrillator Training

There are dozens of defibrillators (AEDs) available to the public across Ynys Môn and thousands across the UK.  They are critical pieces of kit for saving the life of someone in cardiac arrest, but would you be comfortable using one in an emergency?

AEDs are designed to be used by members of the public with or without training because if you have to use one the emergency services will assist you over the telephone.

However, training will explain how to use one as well as giving you additional CPR skills so that you can respond with confidence should you need to.

Taking the training is quick, easy and could help you to save a life.

I started running courses in response to constituent concerns about getting an ambulance on Anglesey if you need one in an emergency and we have trained dozens of people since I started the initiative.

Join me for my next training session which will be run by Laurel Knight of Gaerwen-based company Medic 1.

Access to health

Improving access to local healthcare

Despite health being devolved for 25 years, around a third of my most serious casework is for my constituents who are suffering, and perhaps even dying, because of failures in our local health board. I hear from patients, families and even members of staff who are deeply concerned about Betsi Cadwa
