I visited AMP Construction & Groundworks Ltd as the company has become the 29th to sign up to her Local Jobs for Local People campaign.
I met with general manager Kerry Parry to look around the firm, meet staff and talk about the local business climate.
AMP is based in its newly constructed offices on Mona Industrial Park. It is run by father and son, Gordon and Anthony Parry who have 40 years’ experience in the building industry.
Many thanks to AMP for inviting me to visit and see its new base and for signing up to my Local Jobs for Local People campaign that continues to be a huge success.
It is important that well-known and successful companies like AMP get behind employing local people whenever they can.
As I continue to work to bring more jobs and investment to Ynys Môn, we need to ensure the fruits of this work are jobs for islanders.
Kerry said: “We would like to thank Virginia for taking the time out of her busy schedule to meet with us. We look forward to the continued successes which she brings to the Island and the opportunities being created for local family businesses such as ours. Diolch.”
