A 12-year-old Valley boy who shaved his head to raise money for the cancer ward where his grandad receives treatment is Ynys Môn MP Virginia Crosbie’s December Hidden Hero.
Iwan Jones, who goes to Ysgol Uwchradd Bodedern, volunteered to have his head shaved for Fundraising for Alaw Cancer Ward Ysbyty Gwynedd and raised £400.
Asked why he did it he said: “Because of the way that they look after my Grandad.”
His grandad Glyn Jones will be celebrating his 74th birthday on December 28th.
Virginia said: “Iwan is a brilliant December Hidden Hero for the present he gave to the Alaw Cancer Ward by shaving his head. It was a big sum of money.
“I know his family must be very proud of him for raising this money where his grandad is receiving treatment.
“I wish Iwan and his family a happy Christmas and Glyn a happy birthday.”
