Ysgol Friars

Ynys Môn MP Virginia Crosbie has visited Ysgol Friars in Bangor where many island children go to meet with staff and pupils for a Q&A session.

Virginia is a regular visitor to local schools and she met with Deputy Head David Healey and sixth form A Level students at the secondary school.

She sat down with the students to talk about topics like defence spending, climate change and the 20-mph default limit in Wales.

“Thank you to brilliant Ysgol Friars for inviting me to meet and chat with pupils about a broad range of topics,” said Virginia.

“I had a great time answering some thoughtful questions on a wide range of issues both national and local from pupils who knew a great deal.

“It is important that our young people get the chance to meet an MP and ask them about what they do and the democratic process. I thank them and the deputy head for the time they gave me.”

Virginia also said that she would like to visit any school and all they have to do is get in contact with her office.
