“I never count my chickens but new nuclear at Wylfa is something I have campaigned on tirelessly and the comments from the PM this week are both positive and absolutely true.
“Wylfa is a brilliant site for nuclear and I will continue to make that case and to persuade the government to get on and give the greenlight.
“Such a decision would be a game changing investment on Ynys Môn and bring the high-paid jobs we need and I have pushed for since I was elected.
“As a country we need new nuclear power to meet our net zero ambitions and for much-needed energy security so we are not at the mercy of people like Putin.”
