Fantastic to meet with Matt Tudor, the Director for Strategy and Partnership at the National College for Nuclear in Somerset.

There are currently 300 apprentices studying at the college gaining vital skills to forge a career working in nuclear power stations, submarines and other sectors.

New nuclear at Wylfa has the potential to bringing thousands of construction jobs and hundreds of maintenance jobs to Anglesey.

Good quality local jobs are important for our communities, our Welsh culture and to keep the Welsh Language alive.

In this column I usually focus on the ‘bigger picture’ part of my role:   fighting to secure Anglesey Freeport in Westminster because I know how much our young people need the good quality, well paid jobs this will bring,  badgering Ministers, raising the profile of new nucl
