Regarding the vote against a ban on fracking - what Labour and their Plaid chums have failed to say is this vote was a non-binding motion and an attempt by Labour to gain control of Government business.
No government would allow that. Ministers also made it crystal clear that fracking ๐๐ถ๐น๐น ๐ป๐ผ๐ take place anywhere unless there is local public support for it.
I do not believe thereโs any support on Anglesey for fracking or any scientific or geological reason to do so anyway.
And actually, I wouldnโt support it either. However, other places in the UK might want fracking in the future. I am not in the business of pushing my nose in what others might or might not want.
I donโt go around banning stuff willy nilly like Labour and Plaid love to do.
But then again if you donโt want to focus on delivering real change in areas like healthcare for Ynys Mรดn (which makes up 25% of my postbag despite health being devolved) then I suppose you need to rely on inaccurate stunts like this to try and look like you stand for something.
