Cost of Living Hub

Support with the cost of living

My next Cost of Living event is on Saturday 20 April at the Dinorben Arms in Amlwch.  Sign up to attend here.

I have been out and about across Ynys Môn, listening to people and businesses and their concerns about the challenges they face in these challenging times.

The rising cost of living is a major concern –  in particular soaring energy bills. Russia’s illegal and unjustified invasion of Ukraine has fuelled inflation and the cost of energy around the world.

One of my most important campaigns is to generating-prosperity-across-ynys-mon-creu-ffyniant-ledled-ynys-mon and to campaign for highly skilled, well paid employment and investment across our island.

I have been working hard in Parliament to ensure that your concerns are addressed, that the Government acts quickly and supports those most in need.

I welcome the wide range of support worth up to £2600 for families, including:

  • Giving every household £400 in the Energy Bills Support Scheme
  • The Pensioner Cost of Living Payment of up to £300
  • The Cost of Living Payment of £650 for eligible people on certain means-tested benefits
  • The unprecedented Energy Price Guarantee that was announced on 8th September.

You can read more about this and the help for businesses here

No one should feel they are alone. Help is available.

This Cost of Living Help Hub links to more information from the UK and Welsh Governments, the council, local organisations and businesses. Each has a range of schemes and support available for you.

Do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you need any further advice.

My team can also offer an audit of your benefits to see if there is further support available to you.
