I work as your Member of Parliament in Westminster from Monday to Thursday. When I am not in Westminster I am at home on Anglesey.
Its been a busy few days here on Anglesey:
On Friday I met with the Ysgol Uwchradd Caergybi student council to discuss how I raise funds for charities across Ynys Mรดn and to invite them to visit me in Westminster.
As chair of the Nuclear Delivery Group I hosted my regular zoom meeting with key stakeholders to discuss the next steps to deliver our British Energy Security Strategy - and Wylfa!
Then it was off to Bryn Ednyfed Caravan Site in Caergeiliog to film a video with some friendly cattle to support NFU Cymru's Welsh Rural Community Champion Award.
I ended the day with my MรดnFM weekly radio slot and a surgery listening to my constituents about their concerns - before heading off to the reopening of Mojo's Rhosneigr to have dinner with Delyth Scott Rhosneigr Golf Club Lady Captain.
It was up early on Saturday to meet with Kristian at Cuffed-in Coffee in Holyhead to share ideas as to how he can support our islandโs entrepreneurs - Kristian also taught me how to make the perfect coffee!
In Llangefni I met with three of my brilliant Hidden Heroes at The Coffee Hut Llangefni. Youngsters Curtis, Mason and Gracie have raised thousands to help others - and are a real credit to their mum Carys Williams.
Then I popped in to the Llangefni Craft Fair in Llangefni Town Hall - where I met some amazing local businesses and bought a gorgeous cardigan for my friend and MP for Stroud Siobhan Baillie who has just had a little baby girl.
At the Swtan Heritage Museum in Porth Swtan I was treated to an excellent tour of the Welsh cottage and garden by trustee Eric Davies and surprised by delicious strawberry cream scones from Robin at the Wavecrest Cafe.
I am particularly keen to support our small businesses - and was delighted to meet memory seamstress Clare from Neverland Keepsake Creations, who is an incredible person who touches so many lives. Definitely worth checking out her Facebook for her award-winning memory bears and family heirlooms.
Then it was off to Venue Cymru to watch the talented Helen Barton's Barton Dance & Drama Academy students at their spectacular Annual Show.
I ended the day by popping in to Ocean's Edge Restaurant in Trearddur Bay to listen to one of my local musical favourites Tom Macaulay - Music and chat with friends.
It was up early on Sunday to join the RNLI at Trearddur Bay Lifeboat Station for a catch up and a panad - and to talk about their well deserved medals!
I was thrilled when Mid Sussex MP Mims Davies MP mentioned our Anglesey RNLI volunteers on her Mid Sussex Radio show and played one of my favourite songs - Islands in the Stream by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. Diolch yn fawr Mims!
I aim to have a reputation for working hard, being accessible and being a champion for Ynys Mรดn. If you would like to invite me to a community event or business - or if I can help and support you in anyway - please do get in touch.
