Llongyfarchiadau!

Thank you to Sion Parry for organising an excellent fund raising event for over 70 people at Braids Bistro, Holyhead Golf Club.

The £6,000 will go to support local Holyhead students and help with travel for global coaching, national team training and travel to the island games.

Sion is a post 16 BTEC Sport Science Tutor at Ysgol Uwchradd Caergybi and was helped by Sarah Parry, Joanne Corcoran, Caroline Williams, Laura Williams, Nicole Queen and many others.

Prizes, auction items and cash were donated from all over Anglesey including The Mad Hatter Studio, The Oyster Catcher Restaurant , Lola’s, Stena Line UKIE, Ocean's Edge Restaurant, The Standing Stones and HSBC.

Gareth Evans a Commonwealth gold medallist and ex Ysgol Uwchradd Caergybi student treated guests to an inspiring speech and highlighted the significant role his coach Ray Williams (and one of my first Hidden Heroes) has played in his life.

A special thank you to the team at Braids bistro and bar, all those that attended and donated and bought raffle tickets and auction prizes.

Generously donated auction prizes included a bespoke balloon display by Balloons by Amy, a flying lesson at Mona Flying Club, a weekend at Silver Bay Holiday Village, a home clean by Charlie’s Angels, a week in the Grandview Las Vegas and tickets to watch Manchester United and Manchester City.

I have helped raise almost £25,000 for charities and community organisations across Anglesey - including Anglesey Riding for the Disabled, SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, Amlwch Town FC, Môn-SAR, Anglesey Hawks Wheelchair Basketball Club and Sioe Mon - Anglesey Show .
