Full time – North Wales based – Salary ~£24k

I need a Campaign Manager to help me keep Ynys Môn blue.

  • Do you want to make a difference?
  • Do you want to help me deliver for Ynys Môn?
  • Are you a team player with an interest in politics?
  • Are you keen to learn and develop as a leader?

As we approach the next General Election I need the best team behind me to ensure that Ynys Môn has the MP it needs to champion our island in Westminster.

My Campaign Manager will be pivotal in ensuring that I continue delivering jobs and investment for Ynys Môn.

You will run election and local issue campaigns and lead teams of volunteers making a difference on Ynys Môn.  Crucially, you will be pivotal in helping me to win the next General Election.

Being a Campaign Manager is grass roots politics at its best. It is a rewarding and flexible job which will allow you to make a huge difference to the lives of the people of Ynys Môn. So, if this sounds like your kind of role, then please keep reading.

What skills and experience will my Campaign Manager need?

I need a Campaign Manager who represent the diversity of constituents on Ynys Môn so I welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.

It does not matter where you are in your career because full training will be given – you just need a can-do attitude and a desire to learn new things.

What will my Campaign Manager be doing?

Every day is different — that is what makes the job interesting. But you can expect to:

  • Build relationships with me and my team as well as a team of Campaign Managers working in other parts of the UK.
  • Create a winning Ynys Môn campaign team made up of enthusiastic volunteers.
  • Organise meetings and events.
  • Work with the local Conservative branch and federation to create joined up campaigns for North Wales and nationally.
  • Exercise your creativity by producing leaflets and communications.
  • Ensure Polling Day activities run smoothly.
  • Support my presence – and that of the Conservative Party - on social media
  • Develop a voter contact programme, speaking with people face and face and over the phone.

You will be supported with on the job training every step of the way.  Whilst you will be primarily based on Ynys Môn some travel and nights away will be required.

What skills do you need to be a Campaign Manager?

  • Are you a do-er and a planner?
  • Can you communicate with people from all types of background both face to face, and in writing?
  • Can you build good inter-personal relationships to work in a team and also to motivate those around you?
  • Are you someone with great organisational skills – able to plan events and campaigns?
  • Do you believe in the Conservative Party’s values and aims?

If you answered yes to these questions, then please apply now.  It would be great if you are also a Welsh speaker or learner.

What package does a Campaign Manager get?

You will be working for the Conservative Party too – which brings a wide range of benefits including:

  • A generous 25-day annual leave and all UK bank holidays off.
  • 3 days additional leave in the year if you marry or enter a civil partnership.
  • Enhanced Maternity/Paternity Leave.
  • Wellness programmes.
  • Professional/personal development.
  • Staff social committees.
  • All work-related travel and overnight accommodation paid for.

Not sure you’ve got what it takes?  Don’t rule yourself out. Send in your application and let’s have a chat.

Please forward your CV with a covering letter to [email protected].
