Today marks Ukrainian Independence Day and six months since Putin's invasion of Ukraine. Together with our international allies, we stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people as they continue to bravely defend their country and their independence.
Last week I hosted a Ukrainian guest and host event at The Valley Hotel where it was uplifting to hear from so many Ukrainian refugees about the experiences of being hosted by our island communities and to see them able to network and connect with each other, swapping telephone numbers and making new friends.
