RNLI Gala Dinner

🎉👏Llongyfarchiadau!🎉👏

Congratulations to the Beaumaris Rotary Club and all those that helped make the Gala Charity Concert in aid of Beaumaris RNLI a success.

The evening raised over £1,000 - with more to come - for the Beaumaris RNLI .

Big shout out to the wonderful Meibion Goronwy choir and their founder/conductor from Moelfre Dafydd Jones and accompanist Rhian Lloyd Jones.

Special thanks too to Welsh soprano Ellen Williams who has performed regularly with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Welsh National Opera Cenedlaethol Cymru, at Principality Stadium, even for HRH The Prince of Wales in Buckingham Palace - and now the Canolfan Beaumaris.

Thank you to all those that kindly donated funds, raffle prizes and bought raffle tickets to make the night a success. Some of the fabulous prizes included tea for two at Beau's Tea Room , a meal for two at The Midland Beaumaris , specialist soaps from Cole & Co - and even lunch with Robert Macaulay and myself!

I was particularly thrilled to present the Beaumaris Rotary President Kevin Sivyar a surprise award from the NODA ( National Operatic & Dramatic Association ) for 60 years of service to the musical theatre.

In this column I usually focus on the ‘bigger picture’ part of my role:   fighting to secure Anglesey Freeport in Westminster because I know how much our young people need the good quality, well paid jobs this will bring,  badgering Ministers, raising the profile of new nucl
