I welcome the news about a new Government Department for Energy Security and Net Zero - and I am optimistic that this energy and climate-focused department will work to deliver new nuclear and help deliver our net zero by 2050 target.

It was fantastic to hear the HM Treasury Minister James Cartlidge MP speak so enthusiastically about nuclear stating it is “crucial" to our energy security.
