I spoke in the recent Neonatal Care (leave and pay) debate.

As the former Chair of the charity Save the Baby, and a mother to three amazing children, this bill is very important to me and I am delighted that the government is supporting it.

Having had my own children in intensive care, I know just how frightening and consuming difficulties relating to pregnancy and childbirth can be.

This important bill will give parents up to 12 weeks additional leave and pay, allowing them to spend vital time with their baby.
